Create the Application in ArcGIS Online or Portal for ArcGIS

You will need to create an application in your ArcGIS Online or Portal for ArcGIS account in order to complete the configuration of Single Sign-on.

PREREQUISITES:

  • Before completing these steps, you need to know the URL of your server hosting site. The URL is different for each geographical region and customers that have dedicated Remote Monitoring hosting may have a different URL. For most customers, the region will determine the URL as follows:
  • United States: https://usrm.telogdhs.net
  1. Log in to your ArcGIS Online or Portal for ArcGIS account.
  2. Under My Content, click New Item.

  1. Select Application.

  1. Select Other Application for the Application Type and click Next.
  2. Enter a Title for the application. Optionally, enter Tags and a Summary to make it easier to search for this application and click Save.

  1. Share this application with your entire organization, or the groups in ArcGIS Online or Portal for ArcGIS that contain the users that will need access to Remote Monitoring through Single Sign-on by clicking the Share button and setting the desired sharing level.

  2. Navigate to the Settings tab for the application.

  3. In the Application section, enter the URL for the application URL https://app.telogdhs.net.
  4. The Client ID is shown, and you can click Show Secret to view the App Secret. You will need these values for the Single Sign-on Settings page in Remote Monitoring.

  1. In the Redirect URI field, leave the default value urn:ietf:wg:oauth:2.0:ooband add the following values:

Used by Remote Monitoring Web. This value is used for USA cloud hosted customers.

Dedicated hosted customers should contact their technical account manager to confirm the URI to use at telogsupport@badgermeter.com.

badgermeterrm-app://auth

Used by Remote Monitoring Mobile App.

 

  1. Click Save to save the configuration.

The next step is to configure the Single Sign-on Settings in the Remote Monitoring app.
